Meet the Opera-Film Soprano

This week we shall introduce the talented sopranos of Blat – The Island Fortress Opera-Film!

SOPRANO

Maltese Soprano, Malta Airport Foundation Ambassador and BOV Joseph Calleja Foundation Scholar Nicola Said is one of the two Soprano Soloists in Blat – The Island Fortress Opera-Film.

Said has performed both locally and abroad; she has covered the title role in Lucia di Lammermoor at the Festival Lyrique-En-Mer, reprised the role of Nannetta Falstaff with The Grange Festival, and sang Madame Herz The Impresario at Teatru Manoel, to mention a few.

In 2018, Said premiered the role of Maria in Swar (Behind the Fortifications), the first opera production of the platform Belt il-Bniedem – City of Humanity.
