Donation of Art Works of Early-Student of the Malta School of Arts

An oil on canvas painting by an early student of the Malta School of Art, Mr Paul Mamo (1898 – 1986), was donated to the newly restored premises of the Mikiel Anton Vassalli College-Malta School of Art in Valletta. The large oils on canvas painting depicting a landscape with trees, Mamo’s favourite subject. Ms Anna Grech, who is the grand-daughter of the artist, made the presentation in the presence of the Centre Administrator Mr Umberto Buttigieg. She said it is an honour to return a work by her grandfather who attended classes in the same school in the mid- 20^th century. Mr Buttigieg thanked her for the generous donation, which will be always cherished at the Malta School of Art.
