The Mikiel Anton Vassalli College – Malta School of Art proudly presents an online-talk by artist and alumni Anthony Spagnol entitled ‘The Meaning of Sprituality in Art’, on the 17th of December. The event starts at 6 pm and ends towards 7.30pm.
Mr Spagnol, Heritage Malta’s Senior Conservator, has held various personal and collective exhibitions. He started his career as a figurative artist but then shifted towards abstraction, which he considers a highly spiritual language. In this presentation, Spagnol will explore the links between his art and his approach to painting and spirituality.
The presentation will be followed by a conversation between the artist and Malta School of Art student, Pietru Farrugia, whose work and practice focus on the intersection between spirituality and healing. A question and answer segment will follow, open to all participants, to put forward their queries and observations related to the search for the sacred in contemporary art.
