An open-air lesson was conducted at The Valletta Design Cluster Garden on the 18th March, 2022. The eight School of Art adult learners were asked to sketch the trees and flowers as a further study for texture and details after viewing Corot’s, Titian’s and Constable’s works of art. This session formed part of the unit on Landscape and the aim was to broaden the students’ textural understanding by working from life to produce outdoor observational drawings.
The experience was very well received, and the lovely ambience of the roof top garden lent itself excellently to this lesson.
