Mikiel Anton Vassalli Head of College Network, Mr Victor Galea explains the benefits of the Artistic Platform City of Humanity to the students attending one or more of the schools within the College (Music, Arts, Drama & Dance). Dr Reuben Pace, the conciever of this artistic platform explains how students are given the opportunity to work/shadow professionals from the entertainment industry by taking part in the annual productions of the Mikiel Anton Vassalli College. Two learners, Nicole Vassallo and Fiorella Coleiro, who participated in the 2021-22 production of the first Opera Fim in Maltese Blat – the Island Fortress, shared their learning experiences along the production. Mr Galea thanked Arts Council Malta for funding and for entrusting this artistic initiative to the Mikiel Anton Vassalli College to the benefit to so many students.
During this TV Programme “Ġimgħa b’Ġimgħa”, this year’s production 2022-23 was announces: ‘Ġawhar Misjub’. This is a live performance covering operatic music of late Maltese composers. The pieces to be performed in this production have never been performed before in Malta and range from Baroque till the twentieth century.
