The Mikiel Anton Vassalli College and the Malta School of Art, in collaboration with Aġenzija Żgħażagħ, have yet again put up an outstanding programme with promising young artists working on printing project which culminated in an exhibition at the school entitled ‘Permanence‘. This second edition of IdeArti follows last year’s project ‘Transitions‘ which was another artistic journey in 3D creations.
The printed exhibits presented in ‘Permanence‘ were acquired through research and experiments undertaken by five young emerging artists: Sheldon Saliba, Kim Sammut, Sephora Schembri, Juanita Vassallo and Karl Vella Bamber. They were expertly tutored by leading artist-educators and printmakers Mr Lino Borg and Mr Jesmond Vassallo which proved to be an enriching experience for all those involved.
This great opportunity provides the most meritorious student with a scholarship to further the art of printmaking overseas. Present for the launch of the exhibition were the CEO of Aġenzija Żgħażagħ Miriam Teuma, Head of College Network Victor Galea and Gordon Dimech on behalf of the Permanent Secretary Office within the Ministry for Education.
The exhibition is open to the general public up till the 19th May, 2023 at the MAVC Malta School of Art in 106, Old Bakery Street Valletta.
