It is with great pleasure that Mikiel Anton Vassalli College, the National College for the Performing and Visual Arts announces it’s annual production for 2025.
After this year’s highly successfull ‘Id-Dejjem (The Everlink)’ A Play with Music and Dance we are proud to announce that 25th April 2025 shall see the world premier of the opera ‘TRAB: The Rest is Dust’ music by Reuben Pace on a libretto by Ġorġ Peresso.
This opera is the third and last opera in the cycle ‘City of Humanity’ which is the first ever Maltese opera cycle. The first opera in the cycle SWAR: Behind the Fortifications was premiered in 2018 and the second one BLAT: The Island Fortress was released as the first ever Maltese opera film in 2022.
