Restoration and Modernisation Works at the School of Art, Mikiel Anton Vassalli College, Malta

As the Works on the exterior on the facade of the historical building ‘Casa Brunet’ in Old Bakery Street Valletta is now almost complete, the Works on the interior of this building which has served as the School of Art Malta as from the 20th Centuary is also in an advanced stage, so that this School will truly inspire the love towards Art and Creativity in its teachers and students.

These interior Works include the restoration and addition of other workshops and studios with adequate facilities that will allow modern hands on learning relating to our modern times. Apart from this a lift is being installed to make the moving from one floor to another more accessible .

Mr Umberto Buttigieg, the Head of School, explained that whilst all educators are going on with their virtual lessons during this Covid 19 pandemy, the Works on the maintenance and modernisation of the School of Art is proceeding as planned.

The Head of the Mikiel Anton Vassalli College, Mr Victor Galea thanked the Foundation for Tomorrow Schools (FTS) for the co ordination of the extensive Works being carried out at this school. He also thanked the Officials from Heritage Malta for their support in taking care of the artifacts in the care of the School of Art in Valletta.
