Applications for courses in Art, Music, Dance & Drama will be opening during the first week of September.

Mikiel Anton Vassalli College would like to inform the general public that the schools forming part of this College Network shall be receiving online applications from new students for the academic year 2020-2021 during the first week of September. Various subjects are offered at all levels: from Beginner levels to those leading to a Diploma Level (MQF 1 – MQF 5).

One can learn about the wide variety of training offered at these specialised schools for the Visual and Performing Arts Education by consulting the prospectus provided: https://education.gov.mt/en/Documents/MAVC%20Prospectus%202020-2021.pdf

Head of College Network Mr Victor Galea informed that “After last year’s positive experience, when due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the schools’ closures, most of the teaching had to be conducted in a remote way (online), as from this scholastic year, some of these schools shall continue to offer online courses on a number of courses amongst which are Art History & Appreciation, and other courses about Creative Approaches to Drawing and Painting. Other training that will be offered online include subjects related to Theatre/Drama as well as those related to the History of Music. It is believed that these initiatives will provide an opportunity to 16+ students to follow such training from the comfort of their home and at the times most suitable to them.”

As from next Tuesday, 1st September 2020, all those interested may apply from the following site: http://mikielantonvassallicollege.gov.mt/ from 08:30 onwards.

It is expected that courses in Visual and Performing Arts shall commence during the first week of October in the respective schools in Malta and Gozo: School of Music at Ħamrun, School of Art at Valletta, School of Dance and Drama at Blata l-Bajda and School of Visual and Performing Arts at Xewkija, Gozo.
