Collaboration to provide Innovative Training to Teachers in Gozo

Through an agreement reached between the Eekhout Academy from Belgium and The Mikiel Anton Vassalli College, Malta, specialised courses will be offered in Gozo from this year. These residential courses focus on “Leadership Quality And Innovation” which will be held in March 2022 and “Meta-learning and Thinking Skills” in April 2022. 

Eekhout is a Belgian Institution specializing in teacher training at European level and offers residential courses in various countries – now in Gozo. Mikiel Anton Vassalli is the receiving partner. The Head of the College Network, Mr Victor Galea said: “Thanks to this agreement we are creating an opportunity for local teachers and school leaders, to be trained in innovative processes for the necessary changes in the education provided today, in order to address the challenges of the changes needed for 21st centyry education. In this way we will be creating networks and synergy between European and local teachers.” 

Teachers applying for this training will be able to benefit from available funding from one of the European Education Programs ErasmusPlus.
