Gozo VPA School opens its 5th annual Art Exhibition in Victoria

The 5th Annual Art Exhibition of the Gozo Visual and Performing Arts School, had its official opening on Friday. The Gozo VPA School Music Chamber opened the evening with a short recital, entertaining a strong audience.

Addresses were made by Head of School Mr. Vince Caruana, followed by Mikiel Anton Vassalli, College Principal Mr. Victor Galea and Minister for Gozo Dr Justyne Caruana, who officially inaugurated this exhibition at the Citadel Cultural Centre in Victoria. The exhibition showcases the best works of the visual art students coming from the different courses offered in the visual art department, such as drawing, painting, printmaking, pyrography, sculpture, and installation.

It includes the various works of more than 400 students, both individual and jointly, who attend one or more of the various visual art courses.

The Gozo Visual and Performing Arts School houses the Visual Arts, Music, Drama and Dance under one roof. Over 1200 students attend one or more of the forty-six evening courses offered at this school.

The exhibition will be open to the public till the 29th of April.
