Gozo VPA teachers’ Erasmus Experience: a learning and collaboration journey

We’re sharing insights into the recent Erasmus experience of two School teachers of the MAVC Gozo Visual & Performing Arts —Ms. Liliya Cauchi (Arts) and Mr. Yuri Charyguine (Music)—who participated in the K1 Erasmus exchange in Huelva, Spain.

Course Overview: The program focused on collaboration skills’ importance in developing entrepreneurial qualities in business start-ups and educational enterprises. Split into theoretical and practical parts, participants explored collaboration’s pillars and how these qualities apply to leadership in small and medium-sized enterprises.

Practical Exploration: Our teachers visited a local ceramics studio and a business company, gaining insights into the connection between artistry and entrepreneurship. They learned about successful entrepreneurial practices in the business domain.

Educational Reflection: Beyond business, discussions centered on public education in Spain and Malta. Similarities and areas for improvement were explored through conversations, fostering cross-cultural educational insights.

Experience Sharing: Ms. Liliya Cauchi plans to share her experience with VPA Gozo colleagues through a presentation and discussion. This aims to bring Erasmus insights back to our school community.

We acknowledge Ms. Liliya Cauchi and Mr. Yuri Charyguine for their commitment to continuous learning.
