‘Id-Dejjem’(The Everlink) premiered to great success.

Mikiel Anton Vassalli College’s annual production for 2024 ‘Id-Dejjem’ (The Everlink) – A Play with Music and Dance was premiered to great success on Friday 31st May.

‘Id-Dejjem’ combines drama, music, visual arts and dance in a unique way to tell the story of Aidan, a 12 year old boy who never saw his grandparents as they had mysteriously disappeared near Hagar Qim temples before he was born.

One night Aidan goes to Hagar Qim to look for his grandparents and ends up in an unexpected adventure involving a very vicious corsair, ghouls and a giant octopus.

‘Id-Dejjem’ is based on an original story by Malcolm Galea with music by Reuben Pace, artistic direction by Stephen Oliver and choreography by Moveo Dance Company led by Diane Portelli. Visuals were done by the students and teachers of the Malta School of Art. The production also involved dancers and actors from the School of Drama and Dance and musicians and singers from the School of Music.

This production is the third one put up by Mikiel Anton Vassalli College in collaboration with the artistic / educational platform Belt il Bniedem.
