MAVC at the Film Education Conference organised by the Mediterrane Film Festival.

Mikiel Anton Vassalli College – the College for the Visual and Performing Arts was represented this morning during the Sure. Start – Film Education Conference 2023. This took place at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta.

Dr Reuben Pace – education coordinator deployed at MAVC, was part of the panel discussing the topic:  “From the School Desk into the Film Industry“.  He shared how the artistic platform Belt il Bniedem adopted by the College,  is giving opportunities to students to work with various professionals during a commercial production. He referred to the College’s production of 2022 namely the first opera film in the Maltese language BLAT – the island fortress. 
Head of College Network Mr Victor Galea attended the conference. Present also were a few educators from the Ministry for Education including the Education Officer for Media Literacy Mr Clint Gérard Attard.
