Where do you think you are most creative in your life? What are your creativity goals?
These are some of the questions that the Workshop by American Installation Artist Rebecca DiDomenico and their participants tried to answer and discuss on Monday, 21st of March at the MAVC Visual and Performing Arts School.
Speaking to 16 of the VPA Art students, Ms. DiDomenico explained where the inspiration for her creativity comes from, mentioning her family, other artists, the past and everything that surrounds her. As a matter of fact, sometimes, it’s the most minute detail that can start the creative process.
Art teacher Justin Falzon explained that “Inspiration can come from many different places, and Ms. DiDomenico explained her creative process, the thoughts behind her choices and the interests and details that each installation had dealt with. Her vast experience with many media and material was very fascinating for both me and my students, who were keen in asking many questions“.
VPA School Administrator Vince Caruana said “these school events are an eye opening, they allows students to expand their horizons by listening and trading experiences. We are thankful to Spazju Kreattiv and Gozo’s Cultural Heritage Directorate for proposing us this initiative. We hope to be able to host many similar events in the future.“
