PRODUCTION MANAGER & ASSISTANT PRODUCTION MANAGER

As Production Manager, Chris Spiteri was tasked to see that all Heads of Departments, crew together with the Producers and service providers were all in communication, as well as assisting different HODs with their production needs.

Chris has been involved in the local theatre scene since a young age. He was always a keen movie fan not just for the acting but the production process and what goes on behind the scenes. The opportunity to work as part of a film production team came in 2007, when he was chosen to be the Assistant Production Manager on a Russian film that was mostly shot in Malta, and some in Russia. This has led him to get involved in other local productions, where he was entrusted in managing/coordinating catering, logistics, accommodation, locations, and transport.

Mario Spiteri was involved in the opera-film as Assistant Production Manager in charge mainly of hospitality and related logistics offered during the production. He also voluntarily performed as an extra in a few scenes of the same production.

Returning to Hamrun after being born in Woolwich, London in 1962, Mario completed his post-secondary education at the Junior College, Msida. He graduated with Bachelor of Education (Honors) from the University of Malta in 1987. After years of teaching in both the Primary and the Secondary sectors, in 2001 he was promoted to Assistant Head. In same year, he also obtained a Diploma in School Counselling from The University of Malta. Currently he is deployed at the Office of the Head of College Network of the Mikiel Anton Vassalli College.
