Message and Notification for MAVC end of Scholastic Year 2019-20

Dear Educators, Parents and Students at the Mikiel Anton Vassalli College,

We are nearing the end of this scholastic year 2019-2020. It was a year characterised by new challenges that also effected the learning process, with teaching and learning being varied: conventional methods up to the 13th of March and continued virtually until today.

RESULTS
Now, all educators are in the process of inputting all the results with comments/feedback and suggestion/s, which you will be receiving from your respective schools (Art, Drama, Dance and Music) on the 6th July.

RENEWALS
It is understood that eventually you shall also be receiving the information regarding how to renew your application (so that all those who are registered with us can apply for the next course)

NEW INTAKES
It is expected that that during the Summer recess and before reopening of our schools in October, new students can eventually apply as well. The vacancies may be limited for the coming scholastic year since we are adapting classes to respect social distancing.

It is advisable to keep yourselves up-to-date by visiting the school website http://mikielantonvassallicollege.gov.mt/ and social media such as the respective schools’ Facebook.

HEARTFELT THANKS
I cannot  but take the  opportunity to thank once again the administrations of all our respective schools for following closely and supporting their teachers, as well as all our educators who exceptionally adapted themselves to this situation, who due to the Covid-19 pandemic our school were forced to close. As Head of College Network, I feel so proud to say that our College was one of the first that kept good contact with all students as from the 13th March!

Many students and parents seemed to have appreciated all this so much. I can say this after having received so many calls and emails from which I have been told that this contact with the students, especially the younger ones, meant so much for them and made a big difference in their lives during such difficult times.

I encourage you all to keep up with this contact with our schools so that, God willing, all students will continue with their progress. Kindly never forget that especially with regards to Visual and Performing Arts Education, practice knows no holidays. I wish you all a good Summer used to continue practicing the skills you acquired so as to prepare well for the next scholastic year 2020-21.

Very best wishes.
