The date of April 27th, 2021 will remain forever etched in the memory and history of The Mikiel Anton Vassalli College (M.A.V.). The day on which the specialised schools in Visual and Performative Arts, within the same college, were licenced as an Institution for Further and Higher Education.
The Head of the College Network Mr Victor Galea is the legal representative of MAV College, responsible for seeing that all the obligations endorsed by this licence are always observed in all Schools within its network.
“This licence will help increase the credit due to the specialised schools for the visual and performing arts education within the Mikiel Anton Vassalli College that provide programmes that are accredited on the Levels 1 to 5 with the Malta Qualifications’ Framework.” Mr Galea wished all the very best to the School Administrators, Full Time Teachers and Part Time Educators serving in these specialised schools, as well as all the 2,500 students who can now have their minds at rest that their studies will lead to their well merited accredited certification.
The Malta Further & Higher Education Authority was set up in January 2021. Mikiel Anton Vassalli College incorporates the Malta School of Music in Hamrun, the Malta School of Art in Valletta, the Malta School of Drama and Dance in Blata l-Bajda and the Gozo Visual and Performing Arts School in Xewkija.
