Minister for Education and Employment official visit to Mikiel Anton Vassalli College

On Thursday 27th February 2020 Victor Galea Head of College Network welcomed the new Education Minister Hon Dr. Owen Bonnici and the Permanent Secretary of same ministry Dr Francis Fabri, at the Mikiel Anton Vassalli College main offices in Hamrun. The Minister was accompanied around the various classes of ArtDrama and Dance and the Malta School of Music

Besides meeting the respective heads of schools, he met with a good number of enthusiastic and motivated students and their dedicated teachers whilst classes were ongoing. He even found the time to listen to performed musical interpretations by students and their teachers.

The minister expressed his satisfaction to see such a good number of learners enrolled in this College and the fact that learners can acquire a qualification and a recognition of such studies which require a lot of self-discipline, motivation and focus.

3,500 learners whose ages vary from 6 year olds onwards are enrolled in one of the schools for the visual and performing arts education in Malta and Gozo and which form part of the network of specialised school within the Mikiel Anton Vassalli College. 50 full time teachers and 150 part-time educators are deployed in this college.
