Restored Printing Press for Printmaking programmes

Our dedicated artist-teachers Mr. Lino Borg and Mr. Jesmond Vassallo are working intensively to restore a Platen Press which dates to the turn of the 20th century. This antique piece is an ‘Improved Albion‘ type and is being restored to life. Moreover, besides being a masterpiece of engineering and ravishing machinery, it will also be fully functional and will prove to be an indispensable asset for our printmaking workshop.

It will be back on the leading edge for the new prospective surface printing lessons at the Malta School of Art.
