School of Art Students visit to Spazju Kreattiv

MAVC School of Arts students attending classes with Ms Lewis and Ms Batinic had a whale of a time this week, when instead of an in-class lesson they visited the ongoing exhibition at Spazju Kreattiv entitled “Possible Worlds” featuring 9 local and international artists’ works, including Pierre Portelli,  whose installation hints at the destruction of nature in Malta which is being replaced by a concrete jungle. Portelli very kindly greeted the students and gave a colourful explanation of his exciting work. This multidisciplinary exhibition tackles environmental concerns and is supported by Zigu Zajg Festival and Arts Council Malta. The inspired 11 to 13 year old students then did sketches on a similar theme.
