School of Music’s Opera Studio auditions

Running into the third consecutive year, the School of Music’s Opera Studio is opening its doors for singers who would like to join us for this scholastic programme. Following on from the successes in previous years, including performances at the Manoel Theatre and Robert Samut Hall, this year the Opera Studio will collaborating with Festivals Malta and will be performing ‘Opera Night‘ at Pjazza Teatru Rjal, as part of Iljieli fit-Teatru.

The main aim of Opera Studio is to nurture and guide young promising singers in exploring and furthering into new repertoire,  giving them the opportunity to work together in workshops and gain more experience on stage. Apart from weekly sessions with our own opera tutors, members will also be offered the opportunity to participate in masterclasses and workshops with guest tutors specialised in relevant fields linked to Opera.

Opera Studio auditions will be held for advanced classically trained singers. All voice types are welcome. Auditions will be held on Monday 23rd October 2023 at the Malta School of Music.
