Student of the Malta School of Art shortlisted in the ‘Be the Artist’ Competition

One of the students attending the Mikiel Anton Vassalli College Malta School of Art has been shortlisted in the final 25 from over 160 submissions part of the Heritage Malta ‘Be the Artist’ competition open for children ages 4 to 16.

Jacob Grech Mallia, who is 9 years old, is one of the finalists. Head of College Network Mr Victor Galea thanked his educator  Ms. Mirjana Batinić and all the staff at the Malta School of Art.

The winners will be announced in the coming weeks. Winning submissions will be exhibited in an online exhibition and at MUŻA, Malta’s community art museum.

The school offers a wide variety of courses, both formal and informal, designed to reach out to a cross-section of different learners with different talents and capabilities. It aims to foster innovation within a framework based on inclusiveness, cooperation, and interdisciplinary education. The school aims to create a hub for an artistic community grounded in practice-led research.
