The MAVC Gozo VPA School take part in the Gozo Arts Weekend

The vibrant cultural scene of Gozo came to life during the last weekend of January, as the third edition of the Gozo Arts Weekend took centre stage. This year, the spotlight shone on the acclaimed Gozitan artist, Chev. Paolo Camilleri Cauchi. Known for his contributions to local churches, Chev. Paolo Camilleri Cauchi’s name is synonymous with the rich artistic tapestry of Gozo.

VPA Art Students at the Gozo Arts Weekend

As a special feature of this year’s Gozo Arts Weekend, the MAVC Gozo Visual and Performing Arts School played a significant role. On Sunday the 28th of January, art students from the school, under the guidance of Mr. Denis Mompalao, set up their easels at the Cittadella in Cathedral Square Victoria. The highlight of the day was the students’ interaction with Chev. Paolo Camilleri Cauchi, who generously shared valuable tips and insights.

Mr. Vince Caruana, the Head of the Gozo Visual and Performing Arts School, emphasised the significance of such events for the students. He stated, “These events serve as a valuable platform for our students, providing them with the opportunity to connect with individuals who appreciate their work. Moreover, meeting one of Malta’s accomplished artists, Chev. Paolo Camilleri Cauchi, offered our students a firsthand experience of artistic excellence.
