MAVC VPA students Amy Mizzi, Colette Attard, Kurt Vella & Jacques Bouvier under the coordination of their Clarinet teacher Noel Curmi have created an ensemble video playing “Theme from Jupiter” by English composer Gustav Holst.
In a time of pandemic, Mr. Noel Curmi and his students have communicated through online means and recorded the performance each from the safety of their homes.
English composer Gustav Holst is best known for his orchestral suite The Planets, he composed many other works across a range of genres, although none achieved comparable success.
The Mikiel Anton Vassalli College Gozo Visual and Performing Arts School offers a number of courses in Art, Music, Drama and Dance to over 1,100 learners on a yearly basis.
The school comprises of 8 Teachers and 24 Part Time Educators, all engaged in offering training and courses which leads up to Diploma Level (MQF Level 5) in Art, Music, Drama and Dance to learners whose age vary from 6 years old up to over 60.
The Mikiel Anton Vassalli College is the national network of specialised schools for Visual and Performing Arts Education in Malta and Gozo.
