TRANSITIONS

TRANSITIONS is a sculpture exhibition stemming from ‘ideArti‘, a Process-Based Art Project by Aġenzija Żgħażagħ, in collaboration with the Mikiel Anton Vassalli College – Malta School of Art. The participating young artists are Abigail Agius, Amy Abela Mizzi, James Debono, Magdalene Mizzi, Martina Darmanin and Sheldon Saliba.

ideArti- Skultura was for these 6 participants, an 8-month long journey of artistic research, exploration, experimentation with materials, processes and techniques and development of ideas and personal perceptions on the theme of transitions, manifesting its self in the work exhibited at the Malta School of Art between 13th May and 10th June 2022. The exhibition will be open form Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 7.30pm.

Transitions refer to processes or moment of movement between one state, role or condition to another. It can imply change for the better or for the worse, but also incompleteness or indecisiveness or a moment of opportunities and fertile possibilities. Transitions can be physical or emotional but also conceptual or ideological.
