An exhibition entitled “Wings, fins, and fur: A visual exploration of animal life through young artists’ eyes” was recently held at the Malta School of Art foyer.

The exhibition forms part of a research project by Leanne Lewis, titled ‘Art education as a tool for social change. Enhancing environmental awareness and action in Maltese secondary education‘. It explores the theme of diverse creatures, intending to inspire a deeper connection to the natural world and promote a more sustainable and harmonious future for all living beings.

The exhibition featured artworks created by students between the ages of 13 and 14 attending the Malta School of Art. The artworks on show were created in conjunction with the level 3 unit thematic-based project 2D, using various media and techniques, including drawing, collage, printing, and mixed media.
