On Tuesday 11th February, MAVC Student Valentina Muscat Vassallo ( a student at the Malta School of Music – Choir), joined the librettist Ġorġ Peresso and composer Reuben pace on the TV programme Indigo where they introduced the upcoming production: An Opera named TRAB – The Rest is Dust, planned to be premiered on the 25th and 26th of April 2025.
Librettist Ġorġ Peresso, talked about the themes of this groundbreaking contemporary Opera that dares to confront the most urgent issues of our time:
Environment – A powerful reflection on the fragility of our planet.
Xenophobia – A thought-provoking exploration of borders, belonging, and humanity.
Capitalism – A bold critique of power, greed, and inequality.
Composer Reuben Pace explained how the College engage professional artists for a live multidisciplinary arts production for students to work with while choir student Valentina Muscat Vassallo, who is a student at the Malta School of Music expressed her learning experience now that rehearsals are taking place.
