The duties of a Manager II in the Mikiel Anton Vassalli College (MAVC) include:
i. Act as the primary liaison between MAVC and the Malta Further & Higher Education Authority (MFHEA)
on all matters related to curriculum development, programme accreditation, quality assurance, and compliance
with national standards.
ii. Coordinate the development, review and updating of study programmes across the MAVC Schools (Art,
Music, Dance, Drama) to ensure alignment with MFHEA standards.
iii. Prepare, compile, and submit accreditation applications and programme revisions in line with MFHEA
templates, requirements, and deadlines.
iv. Review programme learning outcomes, assessment strategies, credit structures (ECTS/ECVET), and level
descriptors to ensure compliance with MQF and MFHEA criteria.
v. Liaise with MAVC Heads of School, Education Coordinators, and Teachers to gather required documentation
during accreditation cycles.
vi. Lead the updating and review of internal documentations related to accreditation and quality assurance,
including but not limited to the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Policy & Procedures, Internal Quality
Assurance (IQA) Policy Document and others.
vii. Monitor compliance with MFHEA’s minimum and performance indicators, ensuring MAVC meets all
requirements expected of a Further and Higher Education Institutions such as MAV College.
viii. Maintain accurate records of accreditation-related documentation, decisions, feedback, and follow-up actions
in a structured filing system.
ix. Represent MAVC in MFHEA meetings, seminars, workshops, consultations, or national forums on curriculum
and quality assurance.
x. Undertakes any other tasks, which the Head of College may delegate to him/her, as may be required.
xi. Undertakes any other duties which may be updated to meet the requirements of any other area as confirmed
by the Permanent Secretary; and
xii. Any other duties as directed by the Principal Permanent Secretary.
