A Festive Celebration of the Arts: Drama, Dance, & Music Performances by the VPA School

As the holiday season approaches, the School of Visual and Performing Arts (VPA) is proud to announce a vibrant lineup of events to celebrate the spirit of Christmas through drama, dance, and music. The productions and concerts, taking place across late November and December, promise to showcase the exceptional talent of their students, offering an unforgettable festive experience for audiences of all ages.

Drama and Dance Performances

The drama and dance events will kick off on November 29 with an exciting Dance Show featuring the students of Ms. Christabel Bajada and Ms. Maribel Vella Bajada. This dynamic performance will take place from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Xewkija Primary School Main Hall.

In early December, the spotlight shifts to drama with several productions on December 2 and 3, highlighting the creativity and dedication of students across various age groups and levels. Under the guidance of talented instructors like Ms. Marisa Cauchi Hili, Ms. Miriam Debono Curmi, and Mr. Jamie Camilleri, these performances will captivate audiences with heartfelt storytelling and artistic expression. All drama shows will be held at the VPA Main Hall.

Music Christmas Concerts

A series of enchanting Christmas music concerts will begin on December 5, showcasing the school’s wide range of musical talent. The opening event features a Violin Concert, led by the students of Ms. Stephanie Pavia Watt, followed by a Voice Concert and Clarinet Concert on December 6.

The festive spirit continues with the Christmas Lunchtime Concert at Il-Ħaġar Museum, Victoria, on December 7, offering a special seasonal treat. Across the subsequent weeks, the VPA will host diverse concerts, including Accordion & Percussion, Piano, Guitar, Flute & Brass, and Piano & Cello performances. These concerts, guided by accomplished educators, reflect the dedication of both students and staff to nurturing musical excellence.
