DigiTech Methods Third & last Mobility in Turkey

DigiTech Methods is a European funded Erasmus+ project which Mikiel Anton Vassalli College is coordinating. Through this project, 3 training modules were developed by the partners which includes Greece and Turkey.

The third and final mobility took place in the School in Turkan Dereli Primary School in Izmit (Turkey) between the 24-28 March 2025. 4 teachers from Malta and 3 teachers from Greece joined a group of Turkish teachers and participated in the event.

The primary output of the training in Izmit,  was the development, implementation and evaluation of a new curriculum module for each participating school. The module, titled “Digital Citizenship and Leadership in Education”, aims to equip teachers with the knowledge and skills needed to promote responsible digital practices and effective digital leadership in their classrooms. This module  focused on key topics such as digital ethics, online safety, classroom management with digital tools, and interactive teaching strategies. Teachers  explored practical applications of Web 2.0 tools, gamification, and artistic digital tools to improve student engagement and classroom dynamics. The module will not only provide technical knowledge, but also guide educators on how to apply these tools in a pedagogically meaningful way:

-Scenario-based exercises to simulate real-life digital challenges in education.

-Workshops and collaborative discussions for best practice sharing.

-Digital tool integration tasks to reinforce learning.

-Quizzes and reflection activities for instant practice.

Teachers received a certificate of achievement recognizing their ability to implement the principles of digital citizenship and technology-driven instructional strategies in their schools.
