Giving Voice to the Harbour: Sean Briffa Directs “L-AĦĦAR BASTIMENT – Stories from the Grand Harbour”

Mikiel Anton Vassalli College (MAVC) is proud to present L-AĦĦAR BASTIMENT – Stories from the Grand Harbour, a powerful live production directed by Sean Briffa, educator at the MAVC, Malta School of Drama and Dance and a theatre maker at heart.

Sean Briffa approaches theatre as a truly collaborative and holistic art form—writing, building, performing, and shaping each production hand in hand with fellow artists. In this new work, he is currently preparing his cast to bring to life a series of intimate human stories rooted in the Grand Harbour, where history, memory, and music intersect. The production reminds us that behind every historic event there is always a human voice waiting to be heard.

Through L-AĦĦAR BASTIMENT, audiences are invited to experience the Grand Harbour not only as a landmark of Maltese history, but as a living space filled with personal stories, emotions, and shared memories—told through performance with sensitivity, depth, and artistic integrity.

The performance will take place on Saturday 9th May 2026 at St. Agatha Auditorium, Rabat.
