Mikiel Anton Vassalli College (MAVC), through the Malta School of Music, in collaboration with Fondazzjoni Kottonera, proudly presents Kunċerti Vokali, a series of vocal concerts being held across the Cottonera during February and March. The concerts will take place in Bormla, Birgu, Kalkara and Isla, bringing high-quality musical performances into the heart of these historic communities.
The chosen repertoire showcases the high artistic and pedagogical standards of the MAVC, Malta School of Music Voice Department, highlighting the technical development, musical sensitivity and stylistic versatility of its students. Under the guidance of their Teachers, performers will present a varied programme that reflects both the educational excellence and the artistic vision of the School and College.
This collaboration with Fondazzjoni Kottonera also aims to strengthen the connection between the MAVC, Malta School of Music and the residents of the Cottonera, by bringing live vocal music into familiar and culturally significant spaces. “Through these concerts, we seek to celebrate and acknowledge the rich cultural heritage of the area, while making the performing arts more accessible to the local community and fostering a deeper appreciation for vocal music within these historic cities” said Dr Jes Grixti Head of the School.
All concerts will start at 19:30.
