New Instruments, New Opportunities: MAVC Gozo VPA School Expands Its Musical Horizons

As the scholastic year draws to a close, the MAVC Gozo Visual and Performing Arts School continues to end on a high note by introducing exciting additions to its growing collection of musical instruments. With the recent arrival of a viola, a drum kit, and a vibraphone, students now have even more tools to explore a wider range of sound, rhythm, and performance techniques.

Victor Galea, Head of College Network, reinforced this idea by emphasising how important opportunity and accessibility are to an arts-focused education. He explained that by expanding the school’s instrument collection, “we’re creating a space where every student can grow, perform, and find their voice individually and collectively.”

According to Deputy Head Paul Camilleri, introducing a broader selection of instruments encourages students to explore new musical pathways and strengthens cross-disciplinary collaboration.
